This Chinese-style house was built by Phraya Damrong Sucharit Mahitsornphakdi (Kho Sim Kong), the second son of Phraya Damrong Sucharit Mahitsornphakdi (Kho Su Chiang), as a residence for his father. Construction began around 1877, during the early reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V).
